College Tips

Finals are coming up... I don't know about you but I'm preparing my body for the lack of sleep I'll be getting.
Here are some tips that have helped me that may be use to you this semester:

1. Go to bed at a reasonable time and wake up early to study:
Your brain will be able to function better in the morning plus coffee taste way better in the AM! I know not everyone is a morning person but if you have a good breakfast and get some sunshine before you hit the books it can be a lot more helpful than being disillusion at 2 A.M.

2. Study in a calm environment and on your own (unless you have a good study group going)
Studying in a local coffee shop or a quiet restaurant is a lot easier than the library sometimes. Also, I hate being alone BUT I learned that being by myself when I am studying for finals or major tests is when I get the most done.

3. Re-write everything and use flash cards
When you re-write the important key words from your notes over again it can help with memorization. Also, flash cards is the best way for me to memorize stuff and is also another way to re-write your notes.

4. TAKE STUDY BREAKS
If you're an active person, go on a 20 minute run. Take a 15 minute music break where you don't do a single thing except listen to your favorite songs. Get out of where you've been sitting for Lord knows how long and take a break because our poor college brains need that the most!
